This web site presents work done by RATC team from IBISC laboratory on the Digital Ocean FP7 Project.
The project’s global scientific objective is to digitalise, from data collected by light autonomous underwater robots (LAUVs), remarkable seafloor sites in 3D imagery, use the information on such sites to edit interactive virtual animated environments that integrate a serious underwater game and audiovisual contents off the shelf, diffuse it on-line... in real time, by mixing these pre-processed 3D scenery images with 2D live videos collected and geolocalised on the 3D background, in real time, by other underwater robots (ROVs) operated by the users via the internet.
